Lush Oxford Street
So last Sunday - the bestest and sunniest weekend of the year so far - I took a trip into Central to take part in a Lush face mask workshop at their flagship store in Oxford Street. The event was hosted by Blogosphere magazine. In case you haven't heard of it Blogosphere Magazine is a curated directory of the best bits of the blogging world - and is well worth a read!
After a quick meet and greet with the other bloggers at the event (everyone is always so so lovely!) we were given a private tour of the store. It's massive! And, would you believe, includes its own luxury spa treatment rooms. I AM GOING BACK FOR A TREATMENT!
Lush is a well-known brand globally and I don't think there is a girl around who can say she hasn't been tempted in by the gorgeous smells and fab colours of their products. However, I really didn't realise the extent to which their products and sourced, designed nor how fresh and harsh chemical-free they are. It really struck me.
I read recently that is only takes 26 seconds for the chemicals in your beauty products to get into your bloodstream through your skin. Although that is of course dependant on the chemical, the area of the skin, the individual (the list goes on) it really made me think about what I'm lathering onto myself these days.
So when we sat down and were told about the natural and fresh ingredients in all of Lush's products I was impressed. Making the face mask was perfect proof.. plenty of popping fresh blueberries!
We made the Catastrophic Cosmetic Mask using fresh blueberries, calamine and chamomile, rose, and almond oils.
It was such a fantastic morning learning, chatting and creating. My little pot of handmade fresh Catastrophic Cosmetic Mask smells divine and I can't wait to try it out!
What's your favourite Lush product?

Wow, I've definitely heard of Lush, but never purchased or tried any of their products before, but I will most definitely be doing so now, after reading this post! I had no idea that they contain such good, chemical free ingredients, as well as all natural! I always admired how pretty their packaging and bath bombs looked, but now I'm even more excited to try them out! Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have a lovely weekend, girlie!

Aww fab a fab comment! Thanks so much Jalisa, glad you enjoyed it :) I was suprised too, but they are really so fresh and natural. Have a great weekend xxx
DeleteThis sounds like great fun! I bought a fresh Lush face mask once and it had bits of grape in it. The smell made me feel sick so I had to throw it away which is a shame as it made my skin lovely and soft but I just could not stomach it! x

oh no really? I have to agree with you, a few of the facemasks we tried out did smell a bit funky, or herby. It was interesting though as I suppose we're all just so use to using products that are a concoction of different ingredients that they always smell good. Whereas these only contained a few fresh ingredients. :) xxxx
DeleteThat looks like such a fun event. I don't have a Lush near me and have yet to try their products, but they sound amazing!
