How to Emphasize a Small Waist

Happy New Year <3

Hi lovelies

Just catching the end of New Year's Day today to do a post. I've been very lazy all Christmas so it's time to get down to business.

I've had a number of searches on my blog asking how to emphasize a small waist. I'm a typical hour glass figure – big hips in line with my shoulders and my favourite asset.. a small waist! So I was flattered when you lovely ladies were looking to my blog for some tips and tricks on how to emphasise your gorgeous tiny waists.

Here are my rules for a getting that small waist noticed...

Rule 1. Structure
For a start, emphasise is all about clothes right? As tempting as it is to follow baggy vest top fashions (like Allsaints flaunt- love their worn effect tees) it just doesn’t suit a small waist. A small waist is hidden in baggy unfitted clothes and needs structure for it to shine.

Which leads me neatly on to Peplums! If you read my blog often you will know I am peplum top obsessed. I just love them! peplums and structured panelled tops in thick or stretchy fabrics will mould or accentuate your curls perfectly. High waisted shorts, trousers and skirts are also must-haves.

Rule 2. Belts
A waist clinching belt is a small-waisted girls best friend! I've always been told wide belts accentuate better however, a cute thin belt can be just as good. Stretch belts make sure your still comfy after lunch time and hug perfectly.

Rule 3. Maintenance
Hula Hooping, Sit-ups, Zumba! Whatever you do, make sure you maintain that gorgeous asset. A small waist can disappear quick, and usually without you even really realising it’s gone. This is the case especially for hour-glasses and pear shaped girls whose hips will always be bigger than their waist so their waist will always look teeny right? Nope! For a kick-ass waist you need the real definition that only exercise in that area brings.

That reminds me... I need small-waist-maintance at the top of my New Year's Resolution list!!

Love
