MAC Lipstick Haul: Diva and Morange

Hi lovies, 

Aggesss ago I went out on a hunt in MAC for lipsticks.. no big suprise there I know! I saw the Diva colour on the make up artist in store and thought 'I need that colour in my life!'. She had quite a dark skin tone and the colour look gorgeously deep and warm. Diva is quite an intense dark colour when not applied which I would never have even thought to pick out so it was great I saw it being worn. 

However, I love it! I've been using it constantly and it's my new winter lipstick.The only downside of having a matte lipstick is it can isn't the smoothest to apply and can dry out my lips if they're not well moisturized.

Morange I spotted afterwards and got on a whim without even trying on. It's beautifully creamy and glossy. The bright pop of red has a lovely orange colour to it.. just as it's name suggests. I use it on nights out mostly but will occasionally use it during the day. Again, a favourite this winter.

MAC Lipstick: Cyber

Hi Girlies :) sooooo, yep I pretty much dropped off the earth for a little while eeekk sorry about that. But I'm back and bringing with me yet another trusty MAC lipstick review.

So this lil dark colour is called Cyber and is part of MACs Satin Lipstick collection. I saw it on one of the makeup artists instore the other day and absolutely loved it on her. She had gorgeous dark skin and had used Cyber on the outside of her lips and a lighter pink on the inside subtly merging the two which looked swell.

The colour is a very deep dark and mysterious purple. So deep it almost looks black which is quite intimidating when you first think you'll have to apply it to your lips! After topping up with some fake tan I braved it though and I love the colour. Definitely a dark plum I'll be wearing in Autumn this year. What do you think?

MAC Lipstick: Up the Amp

 

Hey Girlies, Hope you've all been enjoying the Olympics :) Team GB all the way!

As you know I'm a sucker for a MAC lipstick and I've splurged again on yet another. I was hankering for a purple/lilac for Summer and after waiting around the MAC store three times (darn their queues!) I finally got one. The colour is Amplified Creme Lipstick: Up the Amp and is a beautifully opaque lilac colour. My little Samsung Galaxy photos are not doing this lipstick justice which is annoying but hopefully the photos below help a bit more. 

It's beautifully creamy which is the key to all great lipsticks and glides on easily. It's more of a subtle colour than my usual choices but still a noticable lilac. The colour is very pretty and girly and so I've been pairing it with summer pastel colours dresses, florals and bows. All I need now is for the sun to come out!

My signature eyeshadow colour

Since I was about 15 my signature eyeshadow colour has been gold. My first golden eyeshadow was an amazaballs urban decay one that I literally used every last bit of. Don't you think that's so rare? I never finish eyeshadows, EVER! Do you? or is it just me? meh anyways, so gold is my thing. Not sure why. I have kinda olive skin and my eyes are hazel so I guess gold just suits. 

I got the MAC eyeshadow a couple of months ago to add to my vast collection of golden shadows but thought I'd blog about because it's one of the few subtle eye shadow colours that I get compliments from. Even from my boyf and half the time he doesn't even realise I'm wearing makeup, aww love him. 

The colour is MAC Amber Lights Frost and as with MAC is pigment is exactly the same on your eyelids as it comes in the pot. That's what I do love about MAC, if you see a colour you know that that's the same colour you'll get when you apply it. This colour is uber shimmery and a real warm deep gold. I like to apply it to the whole of my eyelid and then use a thin brush to paint underneath my lower lid too. Because the colour is so intense it looks great!

MAC Sail La Via Satin Lipstick

 

My MAC Sail La Via Satin Lipstick is.so.beautiful.

I got it at the weekend. It's a bad idea for me to walk past the MAC counter because something bright and pretty always catches my eye. The lipstick is from the new Hey Sailor! MAC collection. 

Has anyone else got an item from the collection? There were I think three or four different lip colours to choose from.

As always Mac has done a great design job, the lipstick casing is dark blue with white geometric stripes and the photos of gorgeous girls in sailor outfits on the MAC website is too cute. I've been reading some other girlies blogs on this colour and a few are calling the colour a bright red. I'd say its more of an orangy red.. that's why I picked it. I've been looking for an orange/red lipstick for a while and this one was perfect. 

The colour is opaque and non-glossy which does mean its not as kind to your lips as the shimmery MAC lipsticks I've had in the past but is far from drying. A beautiful colour and I'm a happy girlie! Or should that be sailor! hehe
